I was wondering if anyone knew of any ringtone creating software out there that is more or less usable with Jaws. I'd like to create ringtones from songs I already have since the ringtones that came with my HTC TYTN are rather...cheesy.
I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks...

yeah, i'd like to know as well, i've got some pretty nifty ideas for ring tones
cool ringer is a accessible software which allows you to make ring tones from your existing sound files. It is quite easy to use and configure. You can set the time and length of a ring tone cut, as well as tell the program to cut the chorus. It is accurate most of the time. Just google cool ringer. Message me if you need any help.

The only way I've seen to do this is use MobileSpeak or Talks, depending on which one you prefer, and which kind of phone you have. Then the phone is fully accessible, and you can download wave files, and make your ringtones out of those, etc.
I have the TyTn as well and will use an audio editer such as goldwave or adobe audition and edit the file such as a dog bark that I recorded and usually convert it to MP3 because wav files are larger and the TyTN just doesn't have lots's of memory.
Thanks, I appreciate the responses and information. The ringtones that came with the phone are bad and I just don't like the idea of having to pay for a song that I already bought previously just to put on my phone.
Oh now! gotta love the old phone ring. I have been looking for that one for a while. And the dog bark is excellent. you might try the following free audio editors goldwave and audacity. I am sure you can get info on them from google. audacity is free and goldwave is a trial.
thanks for the tip. Another question, would you happen to know how to remove a ringtone that came with the phone? I clicked in ringtones in the windows file in the phone where they are all listed, but when I try to delete a ringtone that I have no intention of ever using, I get a message about how it cannot be deleted possibly because of the read me check box etc. I'd like to get rid of quite a few of the ringtones already on the device just so I don't have so much extra stuff cluttering my phone. Thanks...
